YOUNG RESEARCHERS OF SERBIA
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-party organisation that evolved from a research movement originating in 1969 in Valjevo. In 1976, it was officially established as a network of research organisations, societies, clubs and sections, brought together by shared interest and coordinated by a national-level office. The number of YRS’ members has changed throughout its history, but it is beyond doubt that more than 50 different organisations were its members at one point in time. In the 1990s, the organisation of Young Researchers of Serbia was transformed by abandoning the vertical hierarchy form of organisation, and from thereon it continued to evolve and change by adapting to the development of the civil sector in Serbia.
