
Young Researchers of Serbia invite civil society organizations and networks working in the field of environmental protection to apply for participation in the sixth cycle of the ECO SYSTEM supporting program to civil society for environmental protection , implemented with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
The call is open to civil society organizations and organizational networks engaged in environmental protection, with experience in areas such as:
- nature and biodiversity conservation
- water and waste management
- chemicals and industrial pollution
- sustainable agriculture
- spatial planning
- renewable energy sources
- horizontal environmental legislation
In 2026, the ECO SYSTEM Program continues to support civil society organizations that actively contribute to the protection of natural resources, the improvement of public policies, and citizen participation in environmental decision-making processes.
Selected organizations and networks will be eligible to apply for project grants ranging from a minimum of EUR 10,000 to a maximum of EUR 15,000.
Through capacity building and financial support, Young Researchers of Serbia aim to empower civil society to have a long-term impact on good environmental governance and to effectively implement environmental protection activities and sustainable community development initiatives.
Deadline for project proposal submission: March 6, 2026.

On the occasion of the new call for participation in the sixth cycle of the ECO SYSTEM Program, Young Researchers of Serbia are organizing an online information session on Thursday, February 19, 2026, intended for civil society organizations and networks interested in applying to the current call.
The deadline for registering for the info session is Wednesday, February 18, 2026, by the end of the day. Registration is mandatory and available via the following LINK.
Interested organizations may request additional clarifications regarding the call and participation conditions by sending questions to ekosistem@mis.org.rs , no later than February 25, 2026.
The ECO SYSTEM supporting program to civil society for environmental protection is implemented by Young Researchers of Serbia with the support of Sweden, with the aim of strengthening the influence of civil society organizations and networks on good environmental governance and sustainable community development.
