Climate change in agriculture – new elective subject in high schools

In addition to supporting the authors of the manual in its design and printing, YRS will leverage its long-standing experience working with young people to promote this subject among students, ensuring that they understand its importance for their further education and future careers.
Furthermore, we will support the teachers who will be teaching this subject in their schools by offering certified training aimed at improving their knowledge of the impact of climate change on agriculture and supporting them in their teaching efforts.
YRS will also offer students regular support projects where they can apply the knowledge gained in practice. At the end of the project, a large conference will be held for students and teachers who have introduced the subject during the school year, to evaluate and present the results of our joint work. The goal is for the elective subject to become established and, eventually, to be included as part of the mandatory curriculum.
