C.L.I.C. – Coordinating locally to initiate more changes within the European Solidarity Corps

By improving various aspects of long-term volunteering supported by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), we aim to enhance the program and support other organizations and volunteers utilizing it. Through collecting good practices, creating training for mentors, and improving digital communication tools such as the “ESC Buddy” mobile app for ESC projects, we will support 2,500 organizations and over 25,000 volunteers who will participate in the European Solidarity Corps program by 2027.

Volunteers – Improved communication with the organization, better connection with other volunteers, and higher quality of projects.

Organizations in the ESC system: Enhanced communication, support through good practice examples, creation of training for mentors, and improvement of volunteers’ personal projects.

European Commission: At the end of the project, in 2025, we will submit a comprehensive impact report on ESC projects for young people and organizations, with recommendations for improvement before the creation of the new program in 2027.

Through work packages, we will achieve the following goals:

WP1: Collecting good practices from 10 partner organizations, which will serve as recipes that can be found online; creating a website to support other organizations and improving the ESC Buddy app for volunteers.

WP2: Creating a one-day training for mentors that will be available on the website to support organizations.

WP3: Organizing two project labs for volunteers on ESC projects to connect them and enhance their personal projects.

WP4: Through presenting the results of the previous work packages, as a consortium of partners, a joint report will be created, which will serve the European Commission for improving the new cycle of ESC projects that will be in effect from 2027.
