The training program was very practically oriented and gave all participants an input of the peace and conflict resolutions in an interactive way with a lot of different activities. The Youth Centre in the middle of the woody area next to the Belgian Herentals provided a motivating environment for the learning using methods of non-formal education with very creative and professional trainers.
The training had four main parts:
- Concept of peace and its three levels – with the focus on the peace with others.
- Non-violent communication skills.
- Emotional and social intelligence.
- Social diversity and inclusion.
The participants were encouraged to take part in every activity through the diverse and colorful materials making an excellent environment for the learning process in a pleasant and safe atmosphere.
The goal of the training was the acquisition of the new skills and developing the strategies of a successful peace-making in diverse environments in our local communities. The exchange of ideas, good practices have inspired all participants to share the knowledge and to widen the understanding of building peace in the everyday life.
This experience was very enriching and motivated me to be an active promoter of willingness to live in peace in my private and professional life.
